To continue the implementation of the Ordinance on Belief and Religion and the Government’s Decree 92/2012/ND-CP detailing and providing measures to implement the Ordinance on Belief and Religion, with the approval of People’s Committee of Gia Lai province, on October 25, 2013, the Protestant group of Plei Klan under the General Confederation of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (Southern) held its first Congress at Ia Bang commune, Chu Prong district, Gia Lai province.
Attending the event were representatives from the local authorities and over 350 followers. The Congress elected seven members of the Executive Board for the 2013 – 2015 term. This is the 56th chapter of the General Confederation of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (Southern) in Gia Lai province to organise the debut congress.
