Gia Lai province holds training conference on State management on Protestantism

On July 11 - 13, 2013 the Government Committee for Religious Affairs in collaboration with the Committee for religious affairs of Gia Lai province (Department of Home Affairs) held a conference on State management on Protestantism. Attending the conference were 222 officials from communes, villages where there are numbers of Protestant followers in Chu Se , Chu Pah, and Dak Doa districts.

Major contents introduced at the event included the Communist Party of Vietnam’s policies and guidelines as well as the law of the State regarding religion affairs; the overview of the Protestant situation in the world and Vietnam; the policies and guidelines of the Party and State regarding Protestantism; the Party and State’s great national unity policy; State management and answers to participants’ question.

Attending the conference were Mr. Mang Dzung, Vice - Chairman of Gia Lai People’s Committee, Mr. Bui Thanh Ha, Vice - Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, Mrs Hoang Thi Thao, Director and Mr. Tran Manh Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Protestantism under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs and Mr Nguyen Thanh Cam, Deputy Director of Department of Home Affairs, head of its Committee for Religious Affairs.
 
Addressing the event, Mr. Bui Thanh Ha and Mr. Mang Dzung said that over the past time, with the guidance of grassroots cadres, Protestants have made contributions to the economic development, social stabilizations and security in the locality. They have actively engaged in production to contribute to the national construction and development. They are typical people in many fields and strictly abide by the Party’s policies and the State’s laws.
