GCRA leader attends Hanoi Protestant Church 100th anniversary

Hanoi Protestant Church under the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North) held a solemn ceremony on October 14 to celebrate its 100th founding anniversary in the city (1916-2016).

Attending the ceremony were DrBrian CStiller, the Global Ambassador of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA), Pastor President of the ECVN (Northern) Nguyễn Hữu Mạc, Commissioned Pastor Superintendent of Hanoi Protestant Church Bùi Quốc Phong, representatives from the international and Korea Protestant communities in Hanoi, the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (South), and large numbers of Protestant followers from localities in Vietnam.

Distinguished guests at the ceremony included Chief Executive Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Bùi Thanh Hà and representatives of ministries, central agencies and Hanoi city authorities.

Speaking at the ceremony, while extending congratulatory wishes to Protestant dignitaries and followers of Hanoi Protestant Church on occasion of its 100th founding anniversary, Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà praised Protestant pastors and followers for their contributions to the cause of national construction and defense in the past 100 years. He also expressed hope that the Protestant Church in Hanoi city would continue upholding its fine traditions with more contributions to the city’s development and national unity.
