A charity program providing free medical examination, medicines relief packets to nuns, the blind and visually impaired in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province took place in Kieu Dam nunnery on December 14.
Directly taking part in the program are doctors, nurses from the U.S. During the event, over 100 nuns, the blind and visually impaired people from two district of Tan Tanh and Dat Do received general examination.
In addition, 150 gift sets containing rice, noodle, soy sauce, sugar and salt (valued at VND 250,000 per set) have been presented to the blind and visually impaired people from the districts of Tan Thanh, Dat Do, Xuyen Moc and Vung Tau city. The charitable program worth nearly VND 100 million was sponsored by the US medical delegation.
