The Hoa Hao Buddhist College under Hoa Hao Buddhist Church was formally established at a ceremony held on June 22 at An Hoa Temple located in An Giang province’s Tan Phu district.
Distinguished guests at the event included Deputy Director of the Department of Other Various Religion under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Trần Thị Minh Thu and representatives from the provincial Commission for Mass Mobilization, Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)’s committee and Home Affairs Department and Phu Tan district authorities.
During the ceremony, Chairman of the central executive committee of Hoa Hoa Buddhist Church Nguyễn Tấn Đạt announced the establishment of the Hoa Hao Buddhist College and the decision for appointing Standing Vice-Chairman of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church’s executive committee Nguyễn Huy Diễm as head of the school.
The establishment of the Hoa Hao Buddhist College has marked a development milestone of the Hoa Hao Buddhist church as it is the first training school of the church ever approved.

On the occasion, the church’s executive committee also reviewed its mid-year performance and proposed working plans for the second half of 2018.
