A film about the Buddha’s fife was shown on May 29 at Quan Su pagoda marking the 2562nd Buddha’s Birthday and the 70th anniversary of the Sri Lankan National Day and 48 years of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the South Asian nation.
The event was co-organized by the Sri Lanka Embassy in Vietnam and Quan Su pagoda in Hanoi.
As reported, this is the first show of the film in Ha Noi. Earlier, the Buddhist film titled “The Buddha’s Life” voiced in Vietnamese was shown at Pho Quang Pagoda, Tuong Van Monastery in Ho Chi Minh City and Phuoc Son Monastery in Dong Nai in 2013, and at the Buddhist film festival celebrating the United Nations Day of Vesak 2014 in Ninh Binh province.
