Every year, Cham people in Ninh Thuan province usually organizes festivals for expressing gratitude to ancestors and praying for peace and bumper crops.
The council of dignitaries of Cham Brahmin community in Ninh Thuan has informed of festivals held from year 2021 to early 2022 in three areas of Po Klong Giarai Tower, Porome Tower and Ponugar Temple.
They include the Youn Yang festival from July 18-20, 2021; the Kate festival from October 5-7, 2021; the Chabur festival in December 18, 2021 and the Poh Bang Yang festival in February 22, 2022.
This year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Yuon Yang festival has been cancelled for strictly observing preventives measures against the pandemic.
