A festival to honour the legendary Saint Quy Minh Dai Vuong was held on May 6th in Trang An scenic landscape complex, Ninh Binh province.
Attending the festival included leaders of the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee and followers inside and outside the locality.
Local guests at the events were Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Đinh Văn Điến and representatives from local authorities.
Legend has it that Saint Quy Minh Dai Vuong together with two other Vietnamese legendary generals under the reign of King Hung Due Vuong (the 18th Hung King) namely Tan Vien and Cao Son have been worshiped by people as saints for their great contributions in protecting the country.
The festival has been regularly held on the 18th of the third lunar month at Tran Temple, Suoi Tien temple and Noi Lam temple in Trang An - a world cultural and natural heritage.
This year, the festival took place on May 6-7 with many activities such as incense offering in Tran temple, procession from Tran temple to Suoi Tien temple.
