Expert meeting for building network on maritime intangible cultural heritages held in Quang Nam

An expert meeting for building network on maritime intangible cultural heritages took place on November 21-22 in Quang Nam province’s Hoi An city.
The event themed “Maritime traditional beliefs and practice” was organized by the International Information and Networking Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region under the auspices of UNESCO (ICHCAP) and the Hoi An Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation.
The two-day event saw the participation of over 30 experts from 12 countries in the Asia Pacific and focused on the discussion of traditional rituals, culture, and customs in coastal communities as well as provided information of practices of beliefs for preserving and promoting values of maritime-intangible-cultural heritages in the Asia-Pacific Region.

As reported at the event, the expert meeting is part of series of events celebrating the 20th Hoi An Ancient Town recognized as World Cultural Heritage and the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).
