Exchange meeting on laws relating to religious land in Ho Chi Minh city

10/20/2020

The Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s chapter in Ho Chi Minh city’s Go Vap district in collaboration with the district Fatherland Front Committee held on October 18 a seminar on laws related to religious land to monks and nuns in the district.

During the event, representatives from the Lawyers Association and the Resource and Environment Division in the district provided legal interpretations and instructions on administrative procedures related to religious land.

As reported at the seminar, slow processes of the measurement of land and issuance of land use rights certificates at some Buddhist establishments are due to the fact that these worshipping facilities created in locations not included in local land-use planning, or built without approval of local authorities, etc.

Representatives from the Resource and Environment Division in the district also provided contact address for consultation and specific instructions.
