On Oct. 7, religious organizations in An Giang province attended a conference on environmental protection and climate change response for the 2016-2020 period.
The event was co-organized by the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
During the event, delegates representing religious organizations listened to results of the implementation of criteria relating to the environment in Vietnam’s national target on rural development, Directives by the Government on pressing issues in the protection of natural resources and environment, garbage disposal and effective models in environmental protection in community, as well as impacts of climate change to socio-economic development in the locality.
