On June 21, 2014, at Bac Kan province, the Northwest Steering Committee held a meeting on ensuring order and security in the four provinces Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang and Thai Nguyen. Deputy PM Nguyễn Xuân Phúc, Head of the Northwest Steering Committee chaired the meeting.
At the meeting, delegates exchanged and discussed about issues related to the task of ensuring order and security in the four provinces in over the past time.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy PM Nguyễn Xuân Phúc highly valued the results in ensuring order and security in the Northwest region. He affirmed that the Party and State always pay much attention to ethnic minority groups, especially those living in northwest region.
He also asked local leaders to take care of the locals and their cultural and religious lives, boost the propaganda for people to prevent hostile forces taking advantage of spiritual and religious activities to incite ethnic people to against the guidelines, policies and laws of the Party and State.
On this occasion, Deputy PM Nguyễn Xuân Phúc presented certificates of merit of the Northwest Steering Committee to individuals and collectives recording good achievements in ensuring local social and political security in the Northwest region
