Eleven more national intangible heritages announced

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has recently signed a decision announcing 11 new national intangible cultural heritages

The new intangible cultural heritages fall into four categories: traditional crafts, folk culture, social customs and beliefs, and traditional festivals.

The newly-recognized national intangible cultural heritages include the Lunar New Year of Chinese people in ward 5, Ho Chi Minh city; the annual festival of Chu Xa village in Gia Lam district, Hanoi; Gau Tao festival of Mong people in Sin Ho district of Lai Chau province; Dai Bi pagoda festival in Nam Truc district, Nam Dinh province; “cap sac” ceremony of Dao people in Tua Chua district, Dien Bien province; Linh Quang pagoda festival in Truc Ninh district, Nam Dinh province; traditional drum making of Red Dao people in Sa Pa district of Lao Cai province; patterns on traditional clothes of Mong people in Moc Chau district, Son La province; “Goi au” traditional rites of White Thai people in Quynh Nhai district, Son La province, and Tra On temple festival in Tra On district, Vinh Long province.
