Duc Xuan Community under Tan Loc parish located in Cua Lo town, Nghe An province held a ceremony for celebrating the 50th founding anniversary (1969-2019).
The celebration was attended by priests of Cua Lo vicariate and Catholic followers of Tan Loc and neighboring parishes.
An offering ritual at the ceremony
Duc Xuan community was established in 1969 from the merging of Duc Vong and Xuan Mai communities under Loc My parish. In 1988, Duc Xuan community was separated from Loc My parish and then merged into Tan Loc parish.
Up to now, the community has been headed by priest Anthony Nguyễn Đình Thăng with nearly 1400 Catholic followers living by fishing at the sea and service business.
At the celebration
During the ceremony, Catholic dignitaries recalled the history of the community as well as called on local Catholics to practively live according to the motto “good life – good religion”.
