The Natural Resources and Environment Ministry has been drafting a circular detailing a number of articles of the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 for ensuring the law on environmental protection to timely come to life according to the schedule on January 1, 2022.
According to the Vietnam Environment Administration (VEA), the law on environmental protection has responsibilities for the implementation of 35 articles, and the VEA has proposed the detaling and guidance for implementing 27 provisions with 35 contents of the environmental protection law. As reported, the draft on circular on implementation of Law on Environmental Protection currently has seven chapters.
At the meeting on drafting the circular detailing a number of articles of the law on environmental protection held on November 3, Deputy Minister of the Natural Resources and Environment Ministry Võ Tuấn Nhân asked the circular to be inline with the environmental protection law and ensure practicality and feasibility.
Deputy Ministry Võ Tuấn Nhân also asked the drafting board to consult with experts, scholars, businesses and local natural resources and environment departments in order to ensure the consistency between the circular and other concerning legal documents, simple administrative procedures and feasibility, and avoid overlapping.
