The Sa Dec district Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Board presented 300 health insurance cards to poor people in Tan Khanh Dong commune at a ceremony held in April 9.
Venerable Thích Chơn Trí, Chairman of Dong Thap provincial VBS Executive Committee, and local authorities’ representatives joint also Buddhists and local people in the event held in the office of Tan Khanh Dong commune People’s Committee.
It’s reported that Sa Dec VBS Executive Board has raised funds for the medical charity program from 47 Buddhist establishments in the locality, and so far presented 500 health insurance cards to nine wards and communes in Sa Dec provincial city worth over VND41 million./.
