Dong Thap provincial Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics (CSVC) held a meeting to review the implementation of the patriotic emulation movement by local Catholics and CSVC activities in the first six months 2015.
Attending the meeting included 60 members of the provincial CSVC, representatives from the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front, provincial Committee for Religious Affairs.
The meeting praised practical contributions made by the provincial CSVC in particularly and local Catholics in general in the socio-economic development in the locality. It’s reported that social and charity activities have been conducted with a total value of over 1.5 billion VND.
On this occasion, the conference also nominated 15 individuals to be awarded a certificate of merit by the CSVC for outstanding contributions to its cause in 2015.
