Attending the ceremony were Most Venerable Thích Minh Chánh – member of the VBS’s Discernment Council, Head of the Executive Board of Dong Nai’s VBS, the Buddhist dignitaries in provincial VBS Standing Executive Board and over 300 monks and nuns, and with presence of representatives from the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs.

At the ceremony, Most Venerable Thích Giác Quang – Deputy Head of Dong Nai’s VBS read the message of the VBS Central Council to appeal the Buddhist monks and nuns to pray for the peace of Vietnam’ sea and islands, and oppose the set up of the rig HD-981 in Vietnam continental shelf of the South China Sea by China.

The Buddhist dignitaries expressed the confidence in the Party, State and supported the Party and State’s viewpoints and guidelines in the foreign policies and settlement of disputes in the South China Sea by peaceful means./.
