On September 18, Xuan Loc diocese held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Cui Mountain Lady Centre in Thong Nhat district, Dong Nai province.
Attending the ceremony included Archbishop President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam (CBCV) Bùi Văn Đọc, Cardinals, Archbishops, Bishops and auxiliary Bishops attending the CBCV’s second annual conference 2015 and about 50,000 Catholics inside and outside the diocese.
Distinguished guests at the ceremony included Deputy Minister of Home Affairs cum Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Phạm Dũng, Vice Chairman of the GCRA Trần Tấn Hùng.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Trần Tấn Hùng congratulated Xuan Loc diocese on the construction of Cui Mountain Lady Centre. He also acknowledged practical contributions made by Xuan Loc diocese in the socio-economic development in the locality over 50 years of development and expressed his hope that Xuan Loc diocese would make further contributions in the development of the locality.
On behalf of the diocese, Vicar General of Xuan Loc diocese Vinsente Đặng Văn Tú expressed his thanks to the authorities at all levels and Cardinals, Archbishops, Bishops, priests, monastics and Catholic followers inside and outside the country for supports and favorable conditions for construction of the centre.
