On April 24, the Standing Committee of the Dong Nai provincial People’ Council coordinated with the provincial Fatherland Front Committee in organizing a meeting to finalize a plan for deputies to meet constituencies for discussion on state religious affairs, scheduled in middle of May 2014.

This constituencies meeting aimed at collecting people’s opinions and comments on concerned issues such as socio-economic development, security, defense in the province, especially the implementation of the Ordinance on Belief and Religion and State’s policies on religious affairs.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of provincial People’s Council Trần Văn Tư asked the People’s Committee of Dong Nai province to prepare reports on socio-economic development, security and defense that should reflect attention and favorable conditions created by the Party and State for religious organizations conducting religious activities. Mr. Trần Văn Tư also urged relevant departments and agencies to appoint representatives at the constituencies meeting in order to directly answer people’s questions that may be raised.
