Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee held on December 1-3 the 3rd Dong Hoa Hiep ancient village festival.
The festival was organized in collaboration with Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Japanese Department of Japanese Culture and a university in Japan, saw with the attendance of more than 70,000 people, including state officials from all levels, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Cai Be district, international and local tourists.
The festival aimed to preserve and introduce the ancient houses with the architecture of East-West culture built in the middle of the 18th century as well as promote exchanges in tourism, culture art between Vietnam and Japan, other countries around the world. The festival featured many cultural activities including exhibition, cultural performances, food competition, calligraphy, traditional games, etc.

Dong Hoa Hiep Village has been recognized as a provincial intangible cultural heritage as well as received the national cultural historical relic title.
