Doc Cuoc temple festival in Sam Son city of Thanh Hoa province has just been recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The temple festival is a long tradition of fishermen in Sam Son for honoring the merits of Doc Cuoc deity and praying for success and prosperity.
The festival is annually held on the 16th of the first lunar month with many traditional rituals, cultural activities and folk games./.
