As many as 400 participants of a Buddhist administration fostering course has attended a meeting on the implementation of the Law on Belief and Religion held on July 5 in Binh Duong province.
During the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Tấn Hùng introduced key contents of state policies and laws on religion, with focus on the Law on Belief and Religion 2016. The government religious committee official also delivered presentations on currently diverse practices of belief and religion in Vietnam and results of the implementation of religious laws for the past years.
The Buddhist course organized by the Vietnam Buddhist Sanga’s chapter in Binh Duong province focused on administrative profession and communication, and the disseminating meeting on the new belief and religious law aimed to provide updated information on the state law on religion, so as to practically contribute to the administration of the Buddhist church in the locality in accordance with the new law.
