The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s executive committee in Thua Thien – Hue province held on June 6 a ground-breaking ceremony for the reconstruction of Dieu De pagoda.
Located in Hue city’s Bach Dang Street, Dieu De pagoda has undergone many renovations. The most recent renovation was conducted in 1950.
Given support from Hue Monuments Conservation Center, the extensive restoration with an estimated cost at over VND 32 billion funded by non-state contributors aims to preserve and promote the unique values of an architectural relic and better meet the spiritual needs of people in the locality.
