Deputy Prime Minister receives a delegation from the Central Committee of Lao Front for National Construction

On July 8th, at Government Headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc received a delegation from the Central Committee of Lao Front for National Construction led by Vice Chairman Kenta Koong Bun Mi. Mr. Bùi Thanh Hà, Vice Chairman of Government Committee for Religious Affairs attended the reception.

At the reception Mr. Kenta Koong Bun Mi informed that, on the occasion of the working visit to Vietnam, the Central Committee of Lao Front for National Construction and Vietnam Government Committee for Religious Affairs held a working meeting to exchange experiences and sign Cooperation Agreement on religious affairs for the 2014-2020 periods. He also shared the socio-economic development of Laos in the first six months of the year as well as the results achieved in the cooperation relation with the Vietnam Government Committee for Religious Affairs in recent years.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc highly appreciated the results of the working meeting between the Government Committee for Religious Affairs and the Central Committee of Lao Front for National Construction and the signing of Cooperation Agreement on religious affairs in the new period, contributing to strengthen the special traditional relationship and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and two States and the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos. He also requested the Central Committee of Lao Front for National Construction to continue to foster friendship between the two countries in the coming time.

Deputy Prime Minister expressed his hope that the Government Committee for Religious Affairs and the Central Committee of Lao Front for National Construction will actively  carry out cooperation programs; improve the efficiency of cooperation on religious affairs in the coming time; organize the conferences and seminars to exchange information, experiences in State management  on religions in each country; conduct cooperation training of officials working on religious affairs through the Vietnam - Laos Intergovernmental Cooperation.
