Deputy Prime Minister extends Christmas greetings to Protestant Church in Da Nang city

On December 13, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc led a delegation to visit the United World Mission Church of Vietnam on occasion of Christmas 2015.

Joining the delegation included Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious affairs Dương Ngọc Tấn, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Trương Thị Ngọc Ánh, and local authorities’ representatives.

Welcoming the delegation in Da Nang city were Pastor President of the United World Mission Church Ân Ước, pastors of the Church’s Executive Committee and a large numbers of followers.

At the visiting reception, Deputy PM Nguyễn Xuân Phúc extended best wishes and merry Christmas to dignitaries and followers of the Church’s Executive Committee. He also spoke highly of practical contributions made by the Church through humanitarian activities, such as donating wheelchairs to the disabled and elderly, conducting the  “warm for winter” program, presenting gifts for families with difficulties, drilling wells for clean water for the poor…

In the same day, Deputy PM Nguyễn Xuân Phúc paid a visit to the family of Mr. Nguyễn Tường Phong in Hai Chau district, Da Nang city, a typical Christian family of the United World Mission of Vietnam. Mr. Nguyễn Tường Phong is also a son of the fallen solder Nguyễn Thượng Nam.
