During the program, 200 scholarships were handed over to poor Cham ethnic students and hundreds of gift sets presented to poor Cham households in the city on occasion of Vietnamese New Year - Tet Festival.

While extending Lunar New Year greetings to Cham ethnic community in the locality, the Deputy Prime Minister called on local authorities to take measures for creating more jobs for the Cham people, thus enhancing their living conditions. He expressed hope that Cham ethnic community in Ho Chi Minh City would continue upholding fine traditions as well as relentlessly work hard for improving their life.
