Deputy Minister of the Home Affairs Ministry Vũ Chiến Thắng extended on March 26 a visit to Bui Chu Diocese in Nam Dinh province’s Xuan Truong district ahead of Easter 2024.

The deputy minister accompanied by Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Nguyễn Ánh Chức was welcomed by Bishop of the Diocese Thomas Vũ Đình Hiệu.
During the visit, while extending warm Easter greetings to all Catholics of Bui Chu Diocese, Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng spoke highly of their practical in patriotic movements and social-charitable programs, contributing to promote humanistic values of the religion in social life.
The home affairs official also shared about the Decree 95 dated December 29, 2023 detailing articles and measures to implement the law on belief & religion 2016, with new and improved regulations for implementing the belief and religious law.
Bishop Thomas Vũ Đình Hiệu took the chance to thank to Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng for his Easter visit and greetings extended to the diocese and local Catholics.
