Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng presents floral congratulation to Bishop Dominic Đặng Văn Cầu

The Deputy Minister accompanied by Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Tiến Trọng and representatives from Thai Binh provincial authorities were welcomed by Bishop of Thai Binh diocese Dominic Đặng Văn Cầu.

During the visiting reception, while extending warm celebrations of Easter to Bishop Dominic Đặng Văn Cầu, Bishop Peter Nguyễn Văn Đệ, priests and lay parishioners of Thai Binh diocese, Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng highlighted practical contributions made by Catholic communities for charities and socio-economic development in provinces of Thai Binh and Hung Yen.

The Deputy Minister expressed delight that many Catholic worshipping places in the diocese have organized cultural and sport activities for local residents, regardless of religion or belief.

He also asked the bishop and priests of the diocese to continue promoting fine traditions and the close relation between the diocese and local authorities, as well as guiding local Catholic followers to actively engage in social programs and patriotic movements, contributing to sustainable development of the country.
