Deputy of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng attended a grand ceremony celebrating the Buddha’s Birthday 2022 (B.E. 2566) held on May 15 by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Council in Quan Su pagoda, Hanoi city.

Attending the event included representatives from the Central Party Commission for Mobilization, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other religious organizations, as well as Ambassadors of India and Sri Lanka to Vietnam.
During the event, Most Venerable Thích Thanh Nhiễu, Vice Standing President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) delivered a Vesak message of Most Venerable Thích Trí Quảng, Acting Supreme Patriarch of the VBS. In the message, Most Venerable Thích Trí Quảng called on Buddhist monks and nuns to uphold their responsibilities to fulfill duties, make unceasing efforts to build a strong Buddhist Sangha, promote the great national unity bloc, and actively contribute to national development and defense.
