A ceremony for commemoration of the 226th death anniversary of Emperor Quang Trung and prayers for fallen soldiers took place at Emperor Quang Trung Temple located in Nghe An province’s Vinh City on September 6.
The event was organized by Vinh city authorities in collaboration with the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s chapter in Nghe An.
Attending the event included Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Nguyễn Xuân Sơn, representatives of the provincial VBS executive committee, and large numbers of monks, nuns and Buddhist followers in the locality.
The ceremony aimed to practically pay respects and gratitude to Emperor Quang Trung and fallen solders for their contributions and sacrifice for national independence, and educate young generations in the patriotism in the country.
