On August 19th, 2014, the Protestant Quang Phu Church solemnly held a ceremony for thanksgiving and consecration of its chapel. Attending the ceremony were Pastor Huỳnh Cường, Head of the Protestant Representative Board of Đăk Lăk province and Protestant dignitaries, deacons in the locality and about 200 followers. On April 7th, 2014, the People's Committee of Quang Phu town approved a new activity place for the church (No. 50 Tran Quang Khai Str, Quang Phu town) after nearly 2 years since its recognition by local authorities.
Quang Phu church was established in 1957, known by the time as the Protestant Quang Nhieu Church. By the end of 1997, Pastor Mai Hải went back to his old place for renovating the church. Meeting the expectation of the Church, the local government formally recognized the legal status of the Church on October 12th of 2012.
