Dak Kang Evangelical Church under the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (ECVN) (South) in Binh Phuoc province held on November 15 a ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of its church located in Bu Dang district’s Dong Nai commune.
The event saw the presence of Pastor Vice President of the ECVN Phan Vĩnh Cự, Pastor Member of the ECVN’s Executive Committee in charge of pastoral affairs in Binh Phuoc Điểu Huynh, Pastor Chairman of the Evangelical Church’s Representative Committee in the province Điểu Hiêng, representatives of local authorities, and pastors and preachers from evangelical chapters in the locality.
Dak Kang Evangelical chapter was established in 1962 and built its first worshipping church in 1989. After 30 years of existence, the original church has seriously deteriorated and no longer met current demands of religious practices by local followers. The new church will be built in the areas of 668 meter square with the total investment of three billion VND.
