A Spring festival kicked off in Dai Tue pagoda located in Nghe An province’s Nam Dan district at a ceremony held on February 9.
The opening ceremony of the festival “Peach Blossom - Calligraphy” saw the presence of Most Venerable Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Discernment Council Thích Thanh Đàm, Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Xuân Sơn, representatives from provincial authorities, and thousands of locals and visitors.

The Peach Blossom festival is an annual activity of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha chapter in Nghe An province aimed at promoting cultural values as well as studies of traditional wisdom and moral cultivation.

The event this year featured the seal-opening and calligraphy-opening ceremonies. A large number of lucky seals and lucky calligraphy works were presented to locals and visitors during the festival.
