The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) executive board in Da Nang city’s Son Tra district in collaboration with the district Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held on July 6 a workshop for promoting public safety and order.
Attending the event were representatives from local authorities and about 120 monks, nuns and Buddhists in the district.
The workshop focused on discussion of topics aimed to encourage local Buddhists to effectively participate in movements launched by the city authorities for ensuring public order, traffic safety, food safety and hygiene, and social welfare for local residents.
On this occasion, the VBS Executive Board in Son Tra district presented a charity house worth VND 60 million and 100 helmets to poor households in the district.
