The dispatch was signed by Deputy Minister Trần Thị Thủy and sent to Culture, Sport and Tourism Departments in provinces and cities and concerning agencies.

Accordingly, the culture, sport and tourism ministry asked concerning provincial-level departments to advise People's Committees in provinces and cities on the temporary suspension of festivals and fireworks during Tet.

Based on the situation of the Covid-19 epidemic in localities, tourism and sports activities, the operation of museums, relic sites, libraries, cinemas and performing arts venues must comply with guidelines of the health ministry on safe and flexibility adaptation for an effective control the epidemic.

The culture, sport and tourism ministry also asked affiliated departments to guide locals on implementation measures to the epidemic prevention in weddings, funerals, graves, longevity celebrations, other celebrations and anniversaries, and entertainment service activities under the management of the culture, sport and tourism.
