The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism reviewed its performance in 2014 and approved working plans for 2015 at an online conference held on Jan 15.
Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoàng Tuấn Anh and Vice Deputy Minister Huỳnh Vĩnh Ái chaired the conference.
Central guests at the conference included Deputy Minister of Home Affairs cum Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Phạm Dũng and representatives from ministries, central and local agencies.
In 2014, in the management and organization of the festival, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism asked local authorities to restrict the burning of votive objects and regulate the use of small banknotes in cultural belief-related and religious festivals and achieved positive results.
As unanimously approved at the conference, key tasks for 2015 to be implemented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism include a close coordination with relevant ministries and departments for proposing the Government to promulgate regulations on management of festivals.
