Cam Nghia Protestant chapter under the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (ECVN) (South) in Khanh Hoa province’s Cam Ranh city solemnly held the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of its church on March 3.
The event saw the attendance of Pastor Member of the ECVN (South)’s Executive Committee in charge of pastoral affairs in Khanh Hoa province Phạm Sính, Pastor Chairman of the ECVN (South) Representative Committee in the province Võ Văn Tự Cường, and followers in the chapters of Cam Nghia and Cam Ranh.
Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Hữu Dinh was amongst local authorities’ representatives at the ceremony.
Cam Nghia church was first built in 1974 and after over 40 years of existence it no longer meets current religious needs. The new church will be built on area of over 8,000 m2 with the worshipping chapel and functioning facilities.
