Nhuan Phu Tan – Khánh Thạnh Tân Caodai parish under the Tay Ninh Caodai Church in Ben Tre province held on July 21 the stone-laying ceremony for building its new oratory.
Attending the ceremony were Cardinal President of the Caodai Tay Ninh Church Thượng Tám Thanh; Chairman of the Tay Ninh Caodai Church’s representative committee in Ben Tre province Ngọc Gắt Thanh, and large numbers of dignitaries, deacons and followers from Ben Tre and neighboring provinces.
Guests at the event included Vice Chairman of the Provincial Religious Committee Nguyễn Hồng Quân and Vice Chairman of the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee under the provincial Viet Nam Fatherland Front Nguyễn Công Vĩnh.
The parish’s original oratory was built in 1947 and has seriously deteriorated after over 70 years of existence, and local authorities approved for the parish to reconstruct its oratory in January 2019.
