Congregation of Third Order of Saint Francis in Thua Thien Hue celebrates 75th anniversary

Archbishop of Hue Archdiocese Francis Xavier Lê Văn Hồng presided over a mass on August 25 for celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Congregation of the Third Order of Saint Francis in Hue province.
Joining the mass included Priest Xavier Vũ Văn Mai representing the Congregation of the Third Order of Saint Francis in Vietnam, Priest Paul Trần Thắng Thế from the Congregation of the Third Order of Saint Francis in Hue province, and about 250 members of the Saint Francis Order in Hue Archdiocese.
During the ceremony, Archbishop Francis Xavier Lê Văn Hồng recalled the life and dedication of Saint Louis, the 9th King of France.
At the event, Priest Paul Trần Thắng Thế reviewed the development of the Congregation of the Third Order of Saint Francis which was first established at Phu Cam Cathedral since 1941. Currently, the Saint Francis Order in Hue province has nearly 250 followers from parishes of Phu Cam, Lang Co, Duong Son and Nuoc Ngot, etc.
