On May 14, Chairwoman of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Trương Thị Mai visited and extended greetings to the Pure Land Buddhist Association in Ho Chi Minh City on occasion of the Buddha Birthday Fetival 2016 – B.E 2560.
Joining the delegation were Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Tấn Hùng.
Speaking at the welcoming reception, Chairwoman Trương Thị Mai extended best wishes to dignitaries, deacons and followers of the Pure Land Buddhist Association on occasion of the Buddha Birthday Festival 2016. She spoke highly of social and charitable contributions of the Association have provided for disadvantaged people. She also urged the Association to join hand with the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels for encouraging followers to actively join in the election of members of the 14th National Assembly and all-level People’s Councils for the 2016-2021 tenure.
