Attending the conference included representatives from the provincial fatherland front committee and the district’s authorities, and 51 delegates representing followers of Catholicism in the district.

Ky Anh district is currently home to over 4,000 Catholics, with four parishes and 942 households. As reviewed at the event, for the 2012-2017 period, Catholic followers in the district have actively joint patriotic and social movements and programs launched by local authorities, and made practical contributions to socio-economic development and maintenance of public security and social order in the locality.

During the conference, 11 Catholic delegates were elected to the Catholic solidarity committee in Ky Anh district for the 2017-2022 tenure, and the district’s authorities presented certificates of merit to four groups and nine individuals for their outstanding achievements in Catholic practices and social activities in the last five years.
