The Con Son-Kiep Bac Autumn Festival 2019 officially kicked off on September 8 at the Con Son-Kiep Bac national relic located in Hai Duong province’s Chi Linh city.
The highlight of this year’s festival is a performance in 60 minutes in Luc Dau River for reenacting the victory of Trần army against an Mongol invasion. The performance taking place on September 15 will be expanded with the participation of 60 boats and over 1,000 locals.
Other activities featuring at the 2019 festival include incense-offering and worshipping ceremonies, a water puppetry performance, a festival of flower garlands, a traditional boat racing, etc.
The Con Son-Kiep Bac Autumn Festival this year marked the 719th anniversary of the death of General Trần Quốc Tuấn and 577th anniversary of the death of World Cultural Celebrity Nguyễn Du.
The Autumn Festival 2019 will last until September 18.
