A conference on the role of the Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics took place in Khanh Hoa province on Tuesday.
Priest Joseph Trần Xuân Mạnh, Acting President and Secretary General of the Committee, underscored the Committee’s contributions to the Church’s goal of uniting the nation, fostering national solidarity, developing the country, upholding traditional morality and culture, and preserving Christian purity.
High on the agenda were the commitee's development over the past 35 years, its role and position in today’s society, and its mission to gather and unite Catholic followers.
Outstanding examples in patriotic movements were honored at the conference.
