Commission for Mass Mobilisation leader receives delegates from the CSVC

Politburo Member cum Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Trương Thị Mai hosted a reception for a delegation from the new term Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics (CSVC) on October 13.  

Joining the reception for the delegation headed by Priest Chairman of the Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics Joseph Trần Xuân Mạnh included Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Ngô Sách Thực, representative from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs.

During the reception, Chairwoman Trương Thị Mai hailed successes of the 7th CSVC national congress and expressed hope that the new CSVC’s Executive Committee would work to encourage Catholic dignitaries and followers to proactively join in patriotic movements, contributing to the development and prosperity in the country.

Sharing with the host, Priest Joseph Trần Xuân Mạnh informed results of the 7th CSVC national congress which elected the 147-member committee for the 2018-2023 with 76 priests, 5 clergies, and 66 Catholic followers. He also affirmed the proactive response by Catholic followers to the President Ho Chi Minh's call for patriotic emulation in the past 70 years.
