The management of Tien Temple located in Tien Cat Ward of Phu Tho province’s Viet Tri city held a solemn ceremony for commemorating the death anniversary of Thuy To Quoc Mau, a nation’s legendary mother of Vietnam.

Thuy To Quoc Mau, also respectively calles as Ngoc Luong Than Long Hong Dang Ngan, has been believed as the wife of King Duong Vuong (the nation's founding father), mother of Lac Long Quan and grandmother of the first Hung king. In short, she was regarded as the first lady of Vietnam.

The anniversary of her death is commemorated annually on the tenth of the tenth lunar month.

Tien temple was first built by King Kinh Duong Vuong as a present for his wife, Queen Than Long. He originally named it Tien Cat palace (palace of the fairies). When Queen Than Long passed away, Lac Long Quan changed the name to Den Tien or Tien temple.

This year commemoration at Tien temple attracted large numbers of representatives of local authorities, locals and visitors.
