“Coast guards stand by fishermen” program to be implemented in Ha Tinh

The Standing Boards of the Party Committees of the Vietnam Coast Guard and Ha Tinh province held a ceremony on October 13 to sign an agreement on coordination in implementing the “Coast guards stand by fishermen” mass mobilization program.

Under the deal, the two sides will work together to disseminate the Party’s guideline and the State’s policies and laws to local people.

They will participate in building safe areas, strong political system, give support to local residents in socio-economic and cultural development, hunger eradication, and poverty reduction, contributing to raising their material and spiritual life.

Both sides will help fishermen to develop marine economy, encourage them to reach out to sea to contribute to maintaining security and national sovereignty over sea and islands.

The Vietnam Coast Guard Command presents 200 gifts to local needy policy beneficiaries, religious followers and fishermen.

In addition, they will mobilize and receive personnel, vehicles and trawlers performing missions of protecting national sovereignty over sea and islands.
