Charity work of Buddhist nuns in Tien Giang

Superior Nun Thích nữ Tịnh Nghiêm, Head of Sub-committee for nun affairs of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha chapter in Tien Giang province handed over two charitable houses to disadvantaged families in My Phuoc town of the province’s Tan Phuoc district on July 12.  

Two charitable houses valued at 60 million VND presented to poor household of Mrs. Huỳnh Thị Ren and Mrs. Phan Thị Khỏe in the locality.

Previously, Nun Thích nữ Như Nguyên, Vice Chairman of the Social Charity Committee under the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha chapter in the province cum Abbess of An Nam pagoda mobilized sponsors to present 200 gift sets to Agent Orange victims and people with disabilities in the locality on July 10. One gift set included rice, necessities and 200,000 VND in cash.
