My Hung Tu chapter under the Pure-land Buddhist Association in Kien Giang province’s Giong Rieng district successfully held its 3rd general meeting on June 11.
Attending the meeting included Chairman of the management committee of the Buddhist association in Kien Giang Thái Thành Tâm, representatives of the association’s chapters in the province, and over 120 delegates representing members of My Hung Tu chapter.
The general meeting reviewed results of religious and social affairs of the Pure-land Buddhist chapter in the 2013-2018 period. The one-day event also elected 12 members to the management board of My Hung Tu chapter for the 2018-2023 tenure with Mr. Nguyễn Văn Triều reelected as Head of the chapter’s management board.

According to the meeting report, My Hung Tu chapter has contributed over 1.2 billion VND to social charities over the past five years.
