The Cham Brahmin community in Ninh Thuan province successfully convened its 3rd congress on September 6-7.
The Dignitary Council of Cham Brahmin community for 2022- 2027 tenure makes its debut
Present at the event included representatives from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, Ninh Thuan provincial government and about 200 delegates representing Cham Brahmin community in the province.
The two-day event reviewed activities of the Dignitary Council of Cham Brahmin community in Ninh Thuan in the previous term and outlined its working plans for the 2022-2027 tenure, as well as approved the new Charter of Cham Brahmin community.
The congress also selected 34 members to the Dignitary Council of the Cham Brahmin community in the province for the third term, with Religious Chief Hán Đô reselected as Chairman of the Council.
On the occasion, Ninh Thuan provincial authorities presented certificates of recommendation to the dignitary council and 11 individuals of Cham Brahmin community in the province for their outstanding contributions in the locality in the past five years.
The Cham Brahmin community in Ninh Thuan province currently live in 24 villages in districts of Ninh Phuoc, Thuan Nam, Thuan Bac and Phan Rang – Thap Cham city.
